When will it be my turn?

Recently, I have been finding myself asking God this question as I begin to see people graduating college, traveling the world, getting engaged, starting new relationships, and receiving things that have been on my prayer list for years.

God, when is it going to be my turn?

I know I can’t be the only one who asks this, nor the only one who feels this way.

These days, I’m comforted by a verse which is, Isaiah 60:22 which says, “When the time is right, I the Lord will make it happen.”

How beautiful is it that the Lord knows exactly what we want, but in His timing, He will give us what we have been praying for?

Waiting is not easy.

I’ve been the one clapping for others, cheering for others, and would later go right into prayer and weep about the Lord not answering my prayers yet for what I want most.

He is answering my prayers in ways that I cannot even fathom, my requests have not fallen on deaf ears. I love that we serve an unpredictable, dependable God!

Maybe you’re also in the middle of waiting on God and you’re ready to give up on that request.

The Lord is coming for you.

He knows you.

He sees you.
